MVI provided an experienced and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)-approved shorebird monitor to conduct daily bird surveys each morning before tilling operations took place. The bird monitor recorded data on bird species, behavior, disturbances, and nesting activity at six separate locations. Any injured birds or nesting behavior was reported to the local agencies outlined in the permit requirements. MVI ensured that the bird surveys took place early each morning at each location without delay to scheduled tilling operations.
