To support Equinor’s Empire Wind SROV and WROV high-resolution geophysical surveys, MVI provided Protected Species Observers (PSOs) equipped with NVDs, hand-held IR cameras, and Mysticetus for 24/7 visual monitoring and reporting. MVI PSOs maintained a continuous visual watch during 24/7 operations. MVI personnel mitigated sound source impacts and maintained situational awareness by relaying real-time North Atlantic right whale sightings and DMA notifications to the client to ensure constant regulatory compliance.
