MVI was contracted to provide Marine Fauna Observers (MFOs), Passive Acoustic Monitoring Operators (PAMOs), and associated acoustic monitoring equipment to support LNG survey operations off the coast of northern Mozambique. Six MFO/PAMO personnel were deployed aboard two offshore supply vessels conducting geophysical and geotechnical surveys, as well as an environmental baseline survey for the region.
MVI personnel used a Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) system, reticle binoculars, a DSLR camera, a rangefinder, and data collection forms to complete this project. Despite challenging weather conditions and a volatile political environment, MVI ensured all personnel and equipment were mobilized and available on schedule for multiple deployments. Upon completion of the project, field data, daily reports, a summary field report, and a final report were delivered to the client.
