The client contracted MVI to provide a team of dual-certified observers for the Ponce Inlet jetty rehabilitation project; these specialists held both National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) PMSO credentials and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) manatee monitoring approval. MVI reduced personnel day rates for the client by eliminating lodging expenses by utilizing locally available personnel. The observer team provided real-time mitigation oversight during boulder placement, enforcing exclusion zones to protect sea turtles and manatees. MVI successfully managed all comprehensive data collection and ensured regulatory reports were submitted on schedule.
